Omg!!! You cosplay so good! Your Mari Ohara wig is literally so pretty. I'm not sure if I've already asked in the past, but how much do your wigs generally cost?

Wigs I get on eBay generally can cost anywhere between $15-$30. The Mari wig however, was bought through Taobao (a chinese company), which a lot of wig brands use for selling their wigs. My friend helped me get it through them, and from buying through them, it only cost $11!

I have a question! Do you make most of your cosplay costumes? Or do some of the things come pre-made? I've always been interested in costuming/cosplay, but now that I have plans to go to a convention, things just got even more interesting!

Also all of your costumes have such intricate details and are so true to the characters! <3

Edit: Whoops maybe if I had read things first I would've seen that you've made things before. ^_^" But I still want to know! Do you make things from scratch? Do you start with a basic item and go from there?

@smoakdragon When I first started out, my mom made my first cosplay costume, and I still have it lmao... (That one was made with some store-bought items).

My Amy Yuuzuki outfit was from all store-bought items. Most of my other costumes were bought from eBay with custom-sizing. My Eli Ayase costume above, I made that from plain fabric! It was my first time making an outfit myself!

This year, my Juvia and Mari Ohara cosplays are being made by a couple of my friends, though, I do come over there to help out. They have been sewing their own costumes for years, and it's awesome to bond together over sewing days.

Wow that's so impressive how detailed you can make your costumes with either store-bought or hand-made items! It's also nice to have awesome friends to help you out too. Smile

Aww I can relate, my mom has helped me with some of my Halloween costumes before. My favorite was a costume for the character Hobbes from the comic Calvin and Hobbes. I still have the pieces of it scattered around somewhere! What was your first cosplay that your mom helped you make? ^^

Wow, so you've been doing this sort of stuff for a while! Nice.

I've never cosplayed. I'm a little too self-conscious for that. Kudos for having the guts to do it. I know I don't have it in me.

How long do these costumes take you to make? I'm sure a lot of effort goes into what you do.
