Have any of you played the First Gen digital downloads on the 3DS? What is really different about them compared to the originals? Have they removed any of the glitches or did they leave them in there?
I'm considering buying them because they are considerably cheaper than buying the cartridges again.

I have Yellow. From what I heard, the glitches are still there. The only difference is that you can use the 3DS method of trading pokemon, no game link cable needed! lol...

I decided to buy all 3, Red, Blue, & Yellow. I hope the glitches are still there. It's fun to mess around with Missing No and other stuff like that.
I wish you could also trade over the internet, but it's still cool to have them again

I got both Blue and Yellow via the 3DS VC. In retrospect, I wish I just got Yellow instead; but that's water under the bridge.

I poured more then double the time (play time and # of plays) into Yellow than I did with Blue.

So now that I bought them all, they are on sale for 20% off at BestBuy today only. At least since I bought them from BestBuy I can call them and price match to get some money back.
I've only started playing Yellow and haven't touched the other 2 yet.

I was told that you'll be able to use Pokemon Bank with them once Sun & Moon come out, but I haven't seen anything on it. Has anybody else heard that you may be able to do that?

Yep, here's the official pokebank website with the news.

http://www.pokemonbank.com/en-us/news/

I'm guessing pokebank will be updated probably about a month before the release of Sun & Moon
