Ok I know I post stuff on here fairly often with the teams I've created and whatnot but this time I am looking for some straight up competitive advice about a team I am trying to construct....I want a team that resists pretty much everything that can be thrown at it...so far this is what I have.

Careful @ Leftovers @ Prankster
252 hp, 252 sp def, 4 def

Night Shade
Will-O-Wisp
Taunt
Recover

Jolly @ Lum Berry @ Multiscale
252 att, 252 spd, 4 hp

Outrage
Fire Punch
Extremespeed
Thunder Wave

Careful @ Leftovers @ Serene Grace
252 hp, 252 sp def, 4 def

Iron Head
Body Slam
Wish
Substitute

Bold @ Black Sludge @ Liquid Ooze
252 hp, 200 def, 56 sp def

Scald
Knock Off
Rapid Spin
Giga Drain

Well that's my team so far.....I really don't want to replace any of these four....but if worse comes to worse then I would be much more likely to change their move sets than I would replace them all together....well anyway here is what my weaknesses and resistances look like:

Weaknesses-Resisted by-Immune to:

Fire- Dragonite/Tentacruel - None
Electric- None - None
Dragon- Jirachi - None
Ground- none - Dragonite
Ice- Jirachi/Tentacruel - None
Rock- Jirachi - None
Psychic- Jirachi - Sableye

Immunities:

Sableye: Normal, Fighting, Psychic
Dragonite: Ground
Jirachi: Poison

That's all I've got so far....would really like to add something else to cover my ground weakness and something for my Electric weakness as well but not sure what to use......maybe Gliscor?? He covers both weaknesses but also gives me 2 Pokemon with x4 weakness to Ice :/

Have any suggestions/comments about my team? Feel free to post on here and give me your opinions!

Thanks!!

I would suggest having a Gliscor.
Move: Earthquake
Substitute
Baton Pass
Aerial Ace/Fire Fang.
Nature: Adamant.
Ability: Poison Heal.
Held item: Toxic Orb/ Leftovers.
That's a suggestion I thought of & you can stab Ice types with Fire Fang or Aerial Ace for Ludicolo's or any Grass types.

Thank to Andy ^^. & prepare for tomorrow. I got my sig now I need Wartortle to evolve & pull the greatest prank![Image: pokemon_fushion_9_by_chaosmastermartin-d50jzoz.png]

Perhaps a Torment Heatran?

Hmm thats an interesting set for Gliscor Blast.....I'll look into it a little more later today.

@ Niblesess I have actually been experimenting with a TormenTran with a fairly good amount of success XD I assume you are talking about this set correct?

Calm @ Leftovers @ Flash Fire
252 hp, 44 sp def, 220 spd

Torment
Protect
Substitute
Lava Plume

The only thing I really have any problems about using Heatran is that it give me a x4 ground weakness on top of the two x2 weaknesses I already have with nothing to resist Ground attacks still....other than Dragonite being immune....oh and speaking of which I am really thinking about changing my Dragonite's set to look more like this:

Careful @ Leftovers @ Multisclae
252 hp, 252 sp def, 4 spd

Dragon Tail
Thunder Wave
Roost
Substitute

And if I use this set then I plan on throwing in this guy as well.

Careful @ Leftovers @ Iron Barbs
252 hp, 252 sp def, 4 def

Thunder Wave
Stealth Rock
Spikes
Bulldoze
(Also considering replacing rocks with Leech Seed to wear the opponent down and give a little extra healing to my team. Will likely try and put rocks somewhere else if I do switch them out though.)

Any thoughts or ideas about these two???

Gliscor is a pretty huge threat to this team. So is Scrafty. Both of those pokemon don't care about TWaves and set up with impunity. Sure you can phaze them out once with Dragonite, but that isn't a solution, you're just extending the problem.

Hmm....so what would you suggest to counter those 2 then Oscar??

I know that Bronzong is a fantastic Gliscor counter but I really dont want to use both it and Jirachi on the same team.....any other suggestions?

And could I run my own Gliscor as a Scrafty counter? I always preferred the Acrobatics set which can really hurt Scrafty as long as he doesn't have a lot of bulk ups yet....but then I'd probably have to watch out for Ice Punch from a DD set as well.....hmm...how about Conkeldurr then? He hits Scrafty super hard

Conkeldurr would work. He gets the upper hand on Scrafty by exploiting it's Dark-typing.

But, it's slower compared to Scrafty, so you're going to need to set Conkeldurr's Speed as high as you can.

What move-set were you planning on using for it?

It doesn't necessarily need to be faster than Scrafty...could hit it hard with a Drain Punch AFTER he attacks me to heal some damage and then follow up with Mach Punch to finish it off...

But I'd probably run something like this:

Brave @ Leftovers @ Guts
252 hp, 252 att, 4 def

Drain Punch
Mach Punch
Stone Edge
Payback

That looks to be a good move-set. Drain Punch/Mach Punch to take out pesky Scrafty. Stone Edge to counter Flying-types and Payback to counter Psychic-types.

I like this set better than bulk up simply because it allows for REALLY good coverage from a very strong Pokemon.

The only thing you have to be able to do to run this set effectively is you have to be able to predict when your opponent will make a switch to a counter Pokemon, whether is be a Flying, Psychic, or Ghost type to take a resisted Drain Punch. Really gotta watch out for Ghosts though since they don't care about Conkeldurr's STAB Fighting moves and can KO him with a strong special attack....so you have to be able to predict that switch in very good in order to KO them with Payback on the switch Tongue
