If I changed it's moves around then I wouldn't be able to use the Parashuffler set I have not because it just wouldn't work right....I am considering other sets for Dragonite though and am currently testing them out as we speak...some of which include these:

Jolly @ Lum Berry @ Multiscale
252 att, 252 spd, 4 def

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Fire Punch
Extremespeed
(this set still doesn't really help against ground types...but still can hit them harder at least)

Modest @ Leftovers @ Multiscale
252 hp, 252 sp att, 4 spd

Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Dragon Pulse

Rash @ Lum Berry @ Multiscale
252 hp, 100 att, 156 spd

Draco Meteor
Fire Punch
Outrage
Thunder Wave

Power Whip on Ferrothorn for Gastrodon? I like bulldoze as much as the next guy, but without a stab move to back it up it just feels like you're trolling for heatran/terrakion/zone switches which really isn't worth the moveslot. Plus its Ferrothorn's only way of doing any non recursive damage. Especially since you are packing Thunder Wave, you don't really need the speed drop. I'd go with Power Whip, but you can try out bulldoze and see what you think.

Anyways, I like the core of Dnite Jirachi Starmie and Ferrothorn.

That's what I've been testing for the last little bit with some surprising success so far....did really think it would work very well.

As soon as someone sees Ferrothorn they automatically send in counters...I've counted 4 times already that I've hit Heatran on a switch in as soon as Ferro hit the field and every time I was able to hit with Bulldoze 3 of them almost KO'd and the last one landed a crit and made my opponent rage quit Tongue

But I completely get what you are saying about Power Whip because it is usually what I go with Tongue and I honestly will probably switch it for Bulldoze as soon as it stops being effective.

I would try going for the switch with Power Whip before opponents catch on and switch to something that puts you in a tight spot.

I'm not battling the same people every time....so doubt that they are going to catch on....besides NOONE suspects Bulldoze from Ferrothorn lol I suppose that's why it is working so well.

You should keep in mind that you can't always think that the opponents' going to be be unprepared in that situation and NOT expect that move.

Ok well think about this. How many Ferrothorns have you battled that used Bulldoze?? I guarantee that it's not a lot...if any at all...it's called the element of surprise for a reason. You use a Pokemon that everybody thinks they know the exact move set for it,they feel safe with an easy switch it, only to get hammered in the face by a SE move that takes their sweeper down to below half health...so I'm not real sure why you think me using Bulldoze is going to be an easy move to predict.....because it honestly isnt...even with me knowing it can be effective the last thing I think about when switching into a Ferrothornis "oh crap I wonder if this is the one Ferrothorn that knows Bulldoze..."

The "element of surprise" can only take you so far. You can't always rest on your laurels forever.

I am well aware of that Dash....but there is nothing wrong with using a move no one suspects. It just makes the battle more interesting becaus your opponent has to look at your Pokemon as a completely different threat than they thought it was going to be.

I've faced plenty of Ferrothorn with bulldoze, and I have ran many Ferrothorn with Bulldoze, the thing is that amount of pokemon that are worthwhile to attack with Bulldoze are heavily outweighed by Power Whip's.

Bulldoze base power = 60

Power Whip After Stab = 180

That's triple the base power.

Even not very effective is still 30 more base power than bulldoze.

So forgive me when I say that I'm dubious at the utility of bulldoze as the sole attacking move of Ferrothorn. When I run Bulldoze, I usually run Power Whip, as much as I recognize the niche potential of Bulldoze, I'm also a realist and know the numerous advantages of Power Whip. I'd replace thunder wave, you have dragonite to spread paralysis.
