I'm currently reading Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness, the final book in the Chaos Walking trilogy. Ness does a really good job of making you feel the anxiety and fear that the characters are feeling which makes the books go by quite quickly. The style may bother some people but if you're looking for a fast paced read definitely check the series out.

Also I'm reading Words of Radiance, the second book in The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. This book is quite a contrast from Monsters of Men as it is fairly slow and dense. It's an epic fantasy so it's no wonder it is much slower to get through. If you're just getting into epic fantasy I do not recommend reading this series until you're comfortable with the pace of epic fantasy. The world of the book is very different than most fantasy series so if you want a change of pace from the traditional medieval fantasy look no further than this series.

Currently reading The Book of Five Rings by Musashi Miyamoto. I am about to enroll myself in a kendo class and since this is my first time taking a serious commitment towards mastering a martial art, I've decided to supplement my training by reading up on martial arts strategy.

Now, I'm reading The Rose Cord, part of the Dreamwalker series. It's such a good book, I can't wait until the fourth book comes out!

I finished up Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas yesterday. Quite a good book but there was a lot of hype around it so it made the experience of reading it less enjoyable. I'm still excited to move on with the series a little later on.

Started up The Sword of Summer, the first book in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series by Rick Riordan. It's a pretty easy read but also pretty enjoyable. I want to finish his other series as well but since I'm already halfway through so many other series I didn't want to add another set of books on my to read list.

I'm currently reading Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. It's giving me a lot of Harry Potter vibes in the best way, and it makes sense considering the source of the novel. Essentially Rainbow Rowell wrote this book called Fangirl and the main character is writing this massive fanfiction based on this series called Simon Snow. Simon Snow is based off of Harry Potter and so Carry On is the fanfiction that the main character wrote. The last few books I finished were kind of slow so this is a nice change of pace.
