There were a couple of neighborhood kids who liked Pokemon, but as they're growing up, they've grown out of the Pokemon craze.

I feel like I am too. I just don't have the enthusiasm for the series as I once had.

I'm the only one in my school I'd say that still enjoys the 'mons, which is unfortunate seeing as it's such a great series.

I'm lucky to live in the most pro-pokemon town in Colorado. Most of my friends still play pokemon, but woop 'em because they aren't competitive. xD

Nothing to see here

The pokemon phase is completely gone here.
Except for me. My only friend that still played stopped last year.

Unfortunately, one people reach high school, they think of Pokemon as nothing but a child's game. We don't see many people into Pokemon in my school, especially high school, with only four people in my high school not afraid to show that we love Pokemon (me, my sister, and my two best friends). Other people just don't see how much more amazing Pokemon is than all of 'their games'. I'm just slightly angry that (mainly the boys) prefer Call of Duty, League of Legends and Grand Theft Auto which aren't even as half as enjoyable and meaningful as Pokemon. (Sorry, I'm not trying to point out that they are bad games, except for Grand Theft Auto which is very bad). And the girls in my grade treat us differently in the bad way because we like Pokemon. Why? I don't see what's wrong. Yet Lugia and I will never fall prey to insults and the ignorance in which my classmates display at me because I love a series that makes more profit than Coca Cola and Mcdonalds.

Once you get to college a lot of things that "werent cool" in high school are accepted. A few of my friends play them and although I do not play them as much as I used to, I still love them and try to get into the newer games (I love the remakes but it was hard for me to get into BW and XY) My friends all have different views on the games anything from staying up to date to playing just the old ones or not liking them at all, but once I got out of high school no one makes fun of me for playing them. They just respect that I like them which is nice.
