Just going to throw in something I noticed earlier but no one has pointed out yet. Mega Pinsir kinda wreaks your entire team. After a Swords Dance nothing on your team is safe from a STAB Quick Attack from it. Crobat MIGHT be able to live a hit but I'm not entirely sure because it isn't the bulkiest thing ever. Espeon has pitiful Defenses so it can't live a hit and the same goes for Starmie. Trevenant is also OHKO'd by Return. Not sure what M-Houndoom's stats are but if it's speed is lower than M-Pinsir it will easily be KO'd by Return and if it is still pretty frail then Quick Attack might be able to do the job. Even if you replaced Starmie for Umbreon then STAB X-Sccisor will not feel good at all.

So yea M-Pinsir is OP ^^

Ooh! Didn't notice that. Hmm...Mega Houndoom is faster and Mega Pinsir's special defense stat is good but its HP isn't that great. But that quick attack might kill it. Actually, Mega Houndoom is pretty bulky so I think it can survive at least one. I'll keep a lookout for any Mega Pinsirs.

Just ran these calcs to make sure I knew what I was talking about.

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Houndoom: 211-249 (72.5 - 85.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 234-276 (75.2 - 88.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Starmie: 222-262 (85 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Espeon: 294-346 (108.4 - 127.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mienshao: 588-692 (216.9 - 255.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Trevenant: 488-576 (156.9 - 185.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

With Stealth Rocks on the field everything is OHKO'd...only thing that might save you is by chipping away at its HP with Fake Out then adding Sucker Punch to Houndoom over Solarbeam and giving it a Hasty nature that way you can finish it off.

With Sticky Web (which is extremely common with M-Pinsir) then it doesn't have to even resort to using Quick Attack and can kill all yo things with Return instead.

Aye, aye, aye. These calculations scare me. I think I might substitute Sucker Punch for Solarbeam, just for threats like Mega Pinsir. To be honest, Solarbeam isn't helping me that much. I never pick it because Espeon hasn't set up Sun yet and I think I might run Sucker Punch on it.

Actually, @ninJAS, how about replacing Crobat with Talonflame? It has the fairy resist I want, while retaining the flying type I want and being faster than Pinsir!

The only thing I'll have to worry about is the stealth rock weakness.

Talonflame is always a great Pokemon and will help a lot against Pinsir.

Also I forgot to mention that all of those calcs are coming from Jolly Pinsir xD Adamant will do a lot more damage and is more commonly seen on teams with Sticky Web support.
