Parabola \\ Prologue

It is Wednesday. It always seems like Wednesday, it always seems the very same day unfolds without end. Children go to school, adults go to work, trains constantly clatter and buzz beneath the city streets and the feet of the busy citizens, the sun rises from behind Providence Headquarters, casting an ominous shadow over a good portion of the city below, and the gates surrounding the compound face a fresh day's action from the city's protesters. As always, the chanting and banner-toting crowd draw an audience of their own, more recently including the city's journalists and television stations.

Watching the crowds and filming crews from behind a thin pair of glasses, an auburn-haired woman sits in a café across the square in front of the monolithic building, zoning in and out of the discussions going on around her. She sips her coffee.
"...the lack of news coming from within, we can only guess as to what is going on inside. For many years the internal workings of Providence remain a mystery, but today..."
The woman glances up at the nearby television set, mounted on a plastic white wall, hot to the touch and seemingly glowing in the harsh sunlight of the morning. The news crew from outside. Looking back out across to the gates, seeing the same anchorwoman as on the screen, she smiles slightly. Two and a half second delay between filming and transmission, she notes, then looks back down into the murky depths of her drink, softly pawing at her bag on the floor with her foot.

A clunk and a shuffle at the chair opposite her, she looks up to find a man taking his place there. Their eyes meet for a second or two. He nods, and settles into his seat, looking over at the television behind him almost expectantly.
"Have you heard what they say happens in there?" he asks, not moving his gaze from the screen. He looks annoyed.
"Disgusting." she replies, flicking at her flimsy cardboard coffee cup. A small man, blonde hair, can't be much older than her, but he looks stressed - the kind of stress that can age someone by decades in months. Sweating, he seems nervous about something. Or maybe it's just too warm of a day for him. She looks up at him as he suddenly turns back to her.
"What do you suppose is going through their heads?" he muses, shuffling through his own bag.
"Who knows." she sighs, looking towards the crowd again. "Maybe they think they're trying to do good. Maybe they don't know what they're actually doing to people with this kind of horrible thing. It wouldn't make sense, but at the same time it does."
"I know what you mean. It's ruining so many lives, why can't they just stop?"

They sit for a few minutes in silence, both alternating their interest between the television and the commotion outside. The woman's foot starts bouncing, as if the man's nerves had started getting to her.

Beep.

The man sighs at the noise, and looks at his watch almost longingly. The woman, shaken by the sudden noise, glances at her own, spluttering at the hot mouthful of coffee. They had gone off at the same time. Sharing a quick nervous smile, both strangers stand up, hauling their belongings along with them, and set off on the short walk into the crowd nearby.

Pushing people aside, ignoring the calling and shouting following them, the insults and threats, the people grabbing their clothing and pulling at their hair, both the man and woman pull on identical coats - long, plain white, one black stripe down the left breast - and swing their Providence work bags over their shoulders.

So please, anyone give me two choices to choose from, that are Poison type, Flying type, or both XD add your own restrictions to them too, but no evolution restrictions, please.

P.S. i'm not using a starter, as none are poison, and only charizard is flying, but i use him all the time... so i would like to refrain from charizard, which means no starters.

I am just wondering if there are people out there who would like to see more evolutions for all ready existing pokemon. And if you do have ideas, what pokemon are they? what types would you give them? how would they look different?

For example, i think Dunsparce should have an evolution, and it would look like a winged snake. However, i think it should be Normal/Flying, or Ground/Flying. Ground/Flying would definitely be something unique, i think.

Ya'know, the one that I can haz a Steam profile on and run it smoothly. I hear whispers that custom made laptops are pretty much the best but I don't know if this is true. When it comes to technology, I'm pretty much stupid.

Basically, I want a laptop that is solely dedicated to games and plays the games very smoothly, has very quick download and upload speeds, and is not costly. Also, if it is a custom made laptop, how do I go about doing that? What specifically should I have or should I not have on my laptop? I hope some debates follow and some debates are settled on what the ultimate cost efficient laptop is >:}
Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spd / 4 SDef / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Heat Wave
- Air Slash
- Roost

This is the Pokemon I based my team around and I absolutely love using it. Offensive Sigilyph is an absolute powerhouse and most people switch into it thinking it is the stupid Cosmic Power-Psycho Shift set then get smacked in the face by whatever move I feel like using. Now don't get me wrong the CP-PS set is a good set but RU is a pretty fast paced metagame and using an offensive monster like Sigilyph as a defensive set up sweeper is not the best idea imo. This set has excellent coverage and is able to handle a lot more threats than the CP-PS set is able to (most importantly Dark and Steel Types). Psychic is its strongest STAB choice, Air Slash is secondary STAB and is able to deal a nice chunk of damage to any Dark types, Heat Wave decimates Steel and Ice types, and Roost gives it some extra recovery so it can stay in and switch in more often.

Drapion @ Black Sludge
Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 244 SDef / 16 Spd
Careful Nature
- Crunch
- Poison Jab
- Whirlwind
- Taunt

After deciding on my first Pokemon I needed something that could work well with it to improve its longevity so I decided to pair Sigilyph with a Specially Defensive Drapion. It is only weak to Ground with Sigilpyh is immune to and it is able to stay in on most Dark, Ghost, and Psychic types that Sigilph can't. Not only that but it gives me a safe "go to" Pokemon to switch into the Grass and Poison type of the tier which usually can be fairly difficult to handle. Crunch is STAB and deals with Psychic and Ghost types quickly even without Attack investment, Poison Jab is secondary STAB and though it might not provide much coverage and makes this set walled by Steel types the super effective damage against Grass types is what I need this set for since it is one of the few things I have to check them, Whirlwind is to phaze around once I set some hazards up or to get rid of an enemy set up sweeper, finally Taunt it there to stop my opponent from setting up hazards, boosting up, or healing. Drapion also absorbs Toxic Spikes which can be a pain to deal with.

Omastar @ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Scald
- Ice Beam

So you may be thinking "Why in the heck are you using an offensive threat like Omastar as a wall?!? O.o" and the answer to that is simple. Omastar is one of the most reliable Pokemon in RU that can set up BOTH Rocks and Spikes. It is also able to take a lot of strong Physical hits (most notable from Choice Band Entei) and set up hazards freely or deal as much damage as possible with either Scald or Ice Beam. Stealth Rock and Spikes are to get residual damage on anything switching in and out, Scald is for STAB and has a nice Burn chance which will hender Physical attackers even more, last but not least Ice Beam is for coverage against Grass types that think they can switch into Omastar freely namely Sceptile, Rotom-C, and Lilligant all of which don't appreciate taking any extra damage.

Emboar @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge
- Sleep Talk

I had never used Emboar before but decided on giving its Scarf set a try since my team so far was fairly slow and Emboar has such an impressive Attack stat and coverage that it was kinda hard to pass up. This is my designated sleep fodder which might seem odd to come people but it works very effectively as once being able to switch safely into Tangrowth, Ammonguss, Lilligant, etc. without having to worry about taking too much from their attack. Flare Blitz is the obvious STAB move of choice and deals great damage to anything that stay in against it not named Omastar, Kabutops, Rhydon, Quilfish, or Slowking. Luckily its secondary STAB Superpower deals huge damage to 3 of the 5 mentioned above while its coverage in Wild Charge hits the other 2 for super effective damage. As I mentioned before this is my sleep fodder so Sleep Talk is a must and seeing as I have 3 attacking move no matter what move I pull from the Sleep Talk I will be dealing damage to something.

Tangrowth @ Choice Specs
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 112 HP / 252 SAtk / 144 Spd
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- AncientPower

Tangrowth is probably my favorite Pokemon to use on this team just because with a Choice Specs equipped, Modest nature, and full Sp Att investment along with its fantastic base 110 Special Attack something is going to take a lot of damage from any of its hits. Leaf Storm is the STAB move of choice since I will be switching it in and out a lot (which works fantastically with Regenerator) and hits pretty much anything that doesn't double resist it for around 50%. Focus Blast is unreliable but still hits like a truck...and is this sets best check to Sap Sipper Bouffalant. HP Fire allows me to burn straight through (no pun intended) any Grass and Steel types that try to take a Leaf Storm (though the frailer Grass types still take a lot from it as do Aggron, Steelix, and Durant). AncientPower may seem like an odd choice but provides this Tangrowth with the ability to stop one of its greatest counters as well as one of the best offensive Pokemon in RU...Moltres. A Specs AncientPower deals 90-103% to standard offensive Moltres meaning if it has taken any previous damage or switches into Rocks then it is out of the way and makes me feel happy on the inside It also allows to to hit other Fire and Bug types hard on the switch and even has a nice little chance to boost all of my stats.

Rotom @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Def / 76 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

The last member of my team was actually surprisingly easy to find. I needed something to stop common spinners, resist Electric attacks, or spin block....Bulky Rotom is able to do all three! Thunderbolt is for STAB and deals decent damage even without any investment, Shadow Ball is secondary STAB and is used against anything that takes very little from Thunderbolt, Will-O-Wisp is the crux of this set allowing Rotom to stop pretty much every single Physical threat in the RU meta, Pain Split gives Rotom a little bit of extra recovery and makes it easier for it to stay in against most of its checks.

---------

To start off, let's talk about Tresorit. Tresorit is cloud storage, similar to Dropbox. But, it offers some special things! Firstly, Tresorit is the most secure cloud storage you'll find out there (as well as Mega, but Mega doesn't have a desktop client). Tresors, the files uploaded to Tresorit, are, as quoted from their website, "encrypted with AES-256 before being uploaded to the cloud. Additional security is provided before upload by HMAC message authentication codes applied on SHA-512 hashes. Encrypted files are uploaded to the cloud using TLS-protected channels." In other words, Tresors are unbelievably secure. They would take several lifetimes to crack one.

If you need secure storage (I really doubt you do, but still, the deal I'm about to post is very useful), then Tresorit is the way to go. Compared to Dropbox, it offers you 5gb of storage at the start, instead of 2gb. Also, if you're fast, there are two links you can use to extend your storage to 50gb. Given that iOS and Android clients are in the works, this means that you can get extremely secure storage no matter where you are.

If you sign up with the 50gb links I'm posting below, you'll get 50gb once you activate your account.

Regular download (5gb), 50gb #1, 50gb #2

Regular download (5gb), 50gb #1, 50gb #2

i wasn't really sure what move set to use for tyranitar and what other Pokemon to add to the team. aron is the only FEAR Pokemon i thought i could use and it would only work with tyranitar. i would just use this team for the battle frontier or to troll some friends of mine. i gave aron only one attack move because of the battle palace and chose hardy as the nature for that very reason. i was thinking swampert could be a nice touch or something fast. either way i need something to take care or ground, steel and rock types as well as ghost types, weather changers, status inducers, move locking, move disabling , forced switching. that is a lot of ground to cover and taunt uses up a valuable move slot that could be use for more versatile attacking which is essential to this team.
