So which generation of pokemon is better?

GEN1 4 EVA~ <3
Nothing beats the originality of first generation pokemon, period.
Also most of the cutest pokemon are Gen 1.
Rattata, Mew, Pikachu.... I could go on and on.

4th, it pretty much birthed competitive battling. People still did it in 3rd gen, I did, but it was boring because no wifi and weak movesets. I'm not a pokemon fan if I don't get to prove I'm better than everyone else.


Obviously only the most original concepts made the cut in the first gen.

There's no "best" generation. There are people's favourites, but you can't compare them to see which one comes out on top.

First Generation was what gave me my love for Pokémon therefore I think it is the best ^_^

not to mention it has my favorite Pokémon in it....

I love every Gen equally, although I plan to hunt down the moronperson who got rid of Contests and gave us Musicals. Also, B/W was too short, with not much to do after you beat the story. The random matchup function more than makes up for it though.

4th is my favorite, because it's when I started playing Pokemon. The Sinnoh Region is awesome. Pretty much every question that is "Favorite whatever" comes from 4th generation.
Also, WiFi came, not able to trade much before WiFi, now I can just get on a Pokemon Forum, ask for some insanely rare thing, and get it for free, because of nice people and PokeGen.

My fav generation is the third its when i started and i love the pokemon now pokemon wise i mostly love all the generations equally there is no BEST generation to me pokemon wise but tech wise again no best generation the fifth has alot of good features but i agree with leon who thought it was a good idea to get rid of the pokemon contests for the musical maybe if they'd done more with it it would be ok but they didn't also who thought it was a good idea to get rid of berries =.= but there are alot of things from all the generations that are good each adding more to the pokemon world making it even better so i don't think there is a BEST generation theres generations that each person favors but no actual best generation thats what i think at least

Yeah, I'm the berry master, and I'm entirely offended! I absolutely love planting berries, who thought it was funny to only allow berries on the Dream World?!
