So I know some interesting pokefacts, so I thought I should share them.

Cubone is the most depressing Pokemon I've heard of
because Every cubone is a baby Kangaskhan whose mother died and so it wears it'd mother's skull on it's head. Fire red pokedex entry: It wears the skull of its dead mother on its head. When it becomes lonesome, it is said to cry loudly.


In the pokemon world people EAT pokemon!
This is hinted in Gold/Silver in the story of these games you discover that Team Rocket are cutting off Slowpoke tails and selling them! A Team Ricket member tries to sell you one and says it a "Delicious Delicacy" and in the Anime you see them eating meat and we all know that there are know animals in pokemon, so where does the meat come from? You know where.


Venonat was supposed to evovle into butterfree and Metapod was supposed to evovle into Venonat!
Most people only know about the Venonat to Butterfree evo and not the Metapod one here is some what proof for both in there appearences:
First with Butterfree and Venonat:
Well just look at the colour of both of them at first very similar,
So are there eyes, antennas, Hands and mouths.
Now with Metapod and Venonat:
First of all Look at the top of Metapods head then at Venomoths, there a similar, Caterpie's hands and Venomoth's are somewhat similar and so are their eyes.
The reason for this?
Well the games and the Anime where planned at the same time and the writers decided that caterpie would be a good second pokemon for Ash seeing as it's a beginer pokemon, they also thought Venomoth would be unappealing for kids if they saw it alot and they thought that kids would see Butterfree would be a better choice so they switched the two arround to better fit the story.

PokeFacts!

- Some beta versions of Red and Blue list Machamp's original name as "Ju-Doh"

- Deoxys was the first Pokemon to have its own unique battle music in-game

- Every Spinda has a unique pattern of spots. In-game, there are exactly 4,294,967,296 possible outcomes (Not counting shiny).

- Rhydon is tied with Lairon in weight, with both of them weighing exactly 264.6 lbs.

- The names of the three legendary birds each end with the first three Spanish numbers. ArticUNO, ZapDOS, MolTRES

In Pokemon platinum's National Dex, there are two pokemon that weigh the exact same amount as the male character.

A Dunsparce is the same height as a Salamence.

-In the Isshu dex, Pansear's dex in English says it's around volcanoes but you find them in a forest. I understand it's a monkey, but the dex entry says otherwise.
-The Kanto starters height go down as you choose them: Bulbasaur is 0.7m, Charmander is 0.6m, and Squirtle is 0.5m.

-Weedle's Japanese name is said like "Beedrill". Biidoru
-Caterpie and Goldeen have the same cry. Charizard and Rhydon have the same cry.
-Pidegot's Japanese name almost looks like Pidgeotto in English. Pijotto
-Rattata is counted as a Mouse Pokémon when it's name literally says Rattata. Same with Raticate.
-Pikachu and Meowth's shiny colors are orange, and their dex numbers are the backwards of each other.

-You can breed Nidoking, but not Nidoqueen.
-Golduck is not really gold; it's blue.
-Mankey and Zorua's tails disappear when they evolve into Primeape and Zoroark respectively.

-Spinarak and Joltik, along with their evolutions, are the only "spider" like Pokémon.
-Remoraid and Corsola are the same height: 0.6m.
-Lugia's dex entry in BW says if it flaps it's wings, a 40 day storm occurs. It's animation sprite flaps its wings a lot, so does that mean we're in trouble? XD
-Shiny Celebi and Virizion are both pink and green.

It's all I could find and think of. XD I'm pretty sure there's more.

Larvistar & Celebi have the same cry.

Tyrouge's cry is just a higher version of Ho-oh.
Shellos and Gastrodon were going to be in Hoenn, but got scrapped.
Originally, Sharpedo didn't have an ability.
I REALLY want to say one that everyone knows at Pokeboard, but
1.I'm going to ask all PB users to not say it. You know what I'm talking about.
2.I'm going to put it in my quiz as soon as I work out where to put it.

South America is a confirmed region without a game attached to it.

Dude is the cubone thing confirmed? I couldn't find any game references to it. The talk page on cubone just says it is a theory, and not confirmed by Nintendo. The pokedex entry is clearly a reference to the Dead Marowak ghost you find in the Lavender tower. Which also has a skull atop its head.

Caterpie , Weedle , magikarp and tynamo can't learn moves by tm and only get 3 level uping moves

~ Some speculate that Gengar is Clefable's doppleganger.

~ Espeon's cry is strikingly similar to it's name (Listen to the EL-Speon in it's cry)

~ Spoink's Pokedex entry states that it will die if it stops bouncing.

~ Slugma's Pokedex entry states that it will harden and die if it doesn't stop moving.

~ Exggecute and Dotrio's heads bear different emotions.

~ The only moves Smeargle cannot learn through Sketch are Struggle and Chatter.

~ Ho-oh, Eevee, Alomomola, and Girafarig are the only Pokemon who's names are palindromes.

~ Despite the move being in Growlithe's name, Growlithe cannot learn Growl.

~ Whenever a volcano erupts, an Entei is born.

~ The Missingno glitch does NOT give you infinite amount of your 6th item; it gives a lot, however, but not infinite.
~~~Adding to that, Missingno (The RB one) will NOT destroy your game; It'll just screw up your Hall of Fame.

~ Samurott has a sword in his shell pockets on his left front leg.

~ The Void glitch in DPPt allows you to obtain Arceus, Shaymin, and Darkrai.

~ One ability, called Cachophony, is programmed in RSE, though no Pokemon know it. Another ability has the same effect, however.
